We are here to help...For many foster families, this is a new and exciting, yet intimidating experience, but Marland's Place staff is here to help. Our Family Specialists are with you every step of the way, to help you navigate through services that will meet the individual needs of you and your foster family.
Our team members are knowledgeable about resources in our community and surrounding areas to help direct you toward the necessary tools to make this journey successful and enriching for everyone.
Ongoing In-Home Support
In addition to having 24/7 local, on-call support, Marland's Place helps provide or locate support and resources such as:

Foster Community Network
We encourage our foster families to interact with one another to build a support system with others that share a common journey.
Our staff will even help plan social events and group activities periodically to help promote building relationships with each other.
Education and Advocacy
Marland's Place offers a variety of trainings to keep you up to date on the best practices in foster care, as well as partner with DHS to advocate for foster parent needs.
Some trainings include understanding child development, trauma responsive care, and positive parenting.
